Poem for Men

Do You Have What it Takes?

The world demands, "Do you have what it takes?"
Pressure builds because of what is at stake.

Who am I when it's all on the line?
Will I come through for you time after time?

There is One who always delivers,
From His hands rose the mountains and mighty rivers.

His voice speaks to me daily,
"I was, I am, and I will always be."

"Trust in me," says the Lord, "I am your rock."
He created time so He hears not the tick of the clock.

Do I have what it takes? That's not the question.
Am I real? Am I free? These are the queries worthy of my attention.

What will I find when I look deep inside?
The lies from my past in the dark want to hide.

Christ came to release me and set me free
From the pain and the chains that bind mercilessly.

He is Truth and in Him I find rest,
Am I His? Is He mine? That is the test.

I believe this profound poem captures our life's quest. You are perfectly suited to lead the journey as we look together for answers. How proud Our Father must be of you! Jeanne M.
